Sponsor & Donor Recognition

CLASS relies heavily on our sponsors and donors and is extremely thankful for their support. CLASS has sponsorship opportunities available for our annual Golf tournament, other events as well as general donations that help support people, programs and services at CLASS. Please reach out by email to learn more about how you can help.

CLASS supports almost 300 people in the South Simcoe area and is in need of vans to transport individuals to programs, events in the community, medical appointments, shopping, employment and more. Being able to transport people CLASS supports helps to create sense of normalcy for those with limited mobility or those that live too far to walk or maneuver public transit. A priority for CLASS and people we support is to ensure they have access to their community which allows for additional opportunities for education and socialization and enables people to participate in full citizenship within the community. When people cannot get out into the community it can be isolating and lonely.

CLASS has been reinstated as a member of Community Living Ontario (CLO) after a 25-year hiatus from the organization.

CLO promotes positive change through public policy and advocacy by providing expertise and resources to decision makers, educators, local members, families and self-advocates. They create public awareness and networking opportunities by nurturing community leadership, capacity and innovation. Please read more about CLO at https://communitylivingontario.ca/

We are thrilled to partner with Honda for a new van to be used in our Community Programs. The van will be used for transporting people to programs from the homes, from the group homes to day program, out to the community, to deliver dog cookies made by people supported to local retailers who sell them for us, for transporting people to our soup program location in Everett, soup delivery to community businesses, doctors appts, and more.

Honda Canada Foundation Donates Van to

Community Living Association for South Simcoe (CLASS)

@HondaCanadaMfg Foundation presented CLASS with a beautifully logo wrapped Honda Odyssey Van to CLASS. The donation of this vehicle to CLASS will have a huge impact on supporting people with developmental disabilities in the Alliston area.

CLASS supports almost 300 people in the South Simcoe area through youth programs, community participation, accommodation supports, support for those living independently and offering employment supports and opportunities. “With transportation being a barrier to many people with developmental disabilities, the donation helps support CLASS in continuing to offer these programs and services to people with developmental disabilities,” said Andrew Walker, Executive Director of CLASS.

The Honda van will also enable staff to safely transport people to appointments and community activities as well as allow delivery for the CLASSic Lunchbox and CLASSy Canine Cookie programs to local businesses. The purchases from these social innovations provide paid employment and a sense of pride for people supported. Honda is also covering the cost of insurance and maintenance for the vehicle. #HondaCanadaFoundation
