Black History Month – February

Black Lives Matter

Executive Director Statement

CLASS celebrates Black History Month

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Community Living Association for South Simcoe and all of our stakeholders, it is my pleasure to recognize February as Black History Month. During Black History Month, we celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians who, throughout history, have done so much to make our communities the culturally diverse, compassionate and prosperous places they are.

CLASS just recently completed its first strategic plan in over 25 years. Part of our plan is to Solidify Our Organizational Identity, through the development and implementation of anti-racism, anti-Black racism and anti-oppression framework policies and practices.  I look forward to working towards this goal in 2022.

Throughout February and all year long, I encourage everyone to learn more about Black History.
